Jennifer Garner is encouraging her ex-husband Ben Affleck to “work on his marriage” with Jennifer Lopez, according to an insider.
51-year-old Ben’s relationship with 54-year-old J-Lo has come under increasing speculation over the past few weeks, with reports suggesting they are heading for divorce after just two years of marriage. The couple tied the knot at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, and have been living together in their $60 million (£47 million) Beverley Hills marital mansion ever since.
However, last week reports broke that the Argo actor had moved out of their shared home and insiders claimed that J-Lo was looking for her own crib in LA. Ben has also been spotted several times not wearing his wedding ring.
Ben Affleck turns to Jennifer Garner for advice
Amidst the drama, Ben has apparently been seeking advice from an unlikely source: his ex-wife Jennifer. The former couple – who share three kids – were married for thirteen years before they went their separate ways in 2018, but have remained friends since.
According to an insider, Jennifer – who was photographed visiting Ben over the weekend – is keen to see her ex happy. Speaking to US Weekly, the insider said: “Jennifer Garner is encouraging Ben to work on his marriage to Jen.”
They continued: “She fully supports their relationship and wants nothing more than for him to be happy.” The source added that the 13 Going on 30 actress also knows all too well that fame “can put a strain” on relationships.
Divorce rumours intensify as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez live separately
Jennifer’s comments come after sources say Ben has “come to his senses” about his failing relationship with the On the Floor songstress, and has finally realised they are heading for a divorce. Speaking to Page Six, they said: “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
Divorce rumours have intensified after reports that the couple have been living apart. According to TMZ, Ben has been crashing at a rental pad in Brentwood over the last few weeks.
J-Lo added fuel to the fire on Thursday when she liked a post on Instagram about unhealthy relationships and poor communication. The post explained how “you cannot build a healthy relationship with somebody” who “lacks integrity and emotional safety”.
